The Syracuse Orange men’s basketball team will travel to Rutgers for the ACC/Big Ten Challenge this season, according to CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein. The ACC/Big Ten Challenge will be played on Dec. 8th and 9th.

Syracuse will take on Rutgers for the first time since leaving the Big East in 2013. Syracuse has won the last 13 meetings against Rutgers. The last time the Orange lost to the Scarlet Knights was in 2003, the year SU went on the win the National Championship.
Rutgers finished 20-11 last season and 11-9 in the Big Ten. The Scarlet Knights lose Akwasi Yeboah and Caleb McConnel (medical redshirt), but return the nucleus of a team that was set to make the NCAA Tournament. Ron Harper and Geo Baker return and Steve Pikiell adds top-50 recruit Cliff Omoruyi.
