Appeal denied for Horseheads man convicted of vehicular manslaughter

No appeal for the Horseheads man who was convicted of killing an Elmira couple in a devastating crash two years ago.

Caden Charnetski’s first-degree vehicular manslaughter conviction has been upheld, according to The Star-Gazette.


He was sentenced to 1-3 years in prison as a youthful offender. His vheicle crashed into a motorcycle in July 2018 – killing both on-board.

Charnetski was said to be high on marijuana at the time of the crash that killed Matthew and Harolyn Matteson.
