National news correspondent joins human rights program on WRFI about RBG, ACB and Women’s March

This week FingerLakes1.com National News Correspondent Gabriel Pietrorazio has joined Ute Ritz-Deutch, who hosts the Human Rights and Social Justice Program on WRFI amid their annual fundraising week for the community radio station.

Ritz-Deutch has taught at SUNY Cortland and Tompkins Cortland Community College, and currently serves as the Amnesty International domestic coordinator for upstate New York.

Today, Pietrorazio speaks with Ritz-Deutch about being on the ground in Washington, D.C. while covering the nation’s mourning of the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg on the front steps of the Supreme Court and later on that weekend during an evening vigil.

He also talks about his latest reporting from the Women’s March held in nation’s capital just last Saturday, a few weeks before Election Day as well as the ongoing U.S. Senate confirmation hearings for Amy Coney Barrett, President Donald Trump’s third Supreme Court justice pick.

The initial program airs this Friday, October 23rd at 4 p.m. on WRFI 88.1 FM in Ithaca, and 91.9 FM in Watkins Glen.
