The Auburn Police Department says it’s preparing for all possible outcomes after Election Day.
Chief Shawn Butler spoke to Finger Lakes News Radio, explaining that he’s happy that the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office and Auburn Police Department enjoy mostly good relationships with the minority community in Cayuga.
That’s not common in every community across the region or U.S.
All that said, with Election Day nearing – Butler says law enforcement is preparing for a multitude of outcomes.
“You always have to have your eyes down the road. Not just what’s in front of you. I’m confident that there won’t be any issues, but I’d be naïve to think that nothing could happen,” he told Finger Lakes News Radio.
Butler says information has been distributed to his staff to begin the preparation process.
