A local family is facing expulsion from a local school after taking a trip to Missouri that never ended.
That never happened, though.
The students have been learning remotely in Missouri since then.
Auburn Assistant Superintendent for Student Services Camille Johnson said after that the two students are not entitled to the public schools of the district, while they live in another state.
It could happen relatively quickly now, too.
If the students aren’t back by Friday they will be removed, officials noted.
