The Buffalo Sabres have signed forward Steven Fogarty to a one-year deal worth $700,000, the team announced Monday.
Fogarty, 27, tallied 37 points (13+24) in 54 games last season with the Hartford Wolfpack, the AHL affiliate of the New York Rangers. He has 130 points (50+80) in 252 career AHL contests.
Fogarty was selected by the Rangers during the third round (72nd overall) of the 2011 NHL Draft. He has appeared in 18 regular-season NHL contests, including seven last season, and made his playoff debut with the Rangers this past summer.
