Downtown is thriving, even in the midst of a global pandemic.
That was the message from Auburn Downtown BID Executive Director Stephanie DeVito, who spoke with Finger Lakes News Radio on Wednesday.
“It’s very remarkable to see that in this time we’ve actually had 11 businesses come on-board,” she explained, speaking to the BID’s growth during the pandemic as well.
Tourism advocates around the region have said that expanded regional travel has meant a boom for businesses over the summer that would have normally seen growth in travel from outside New York.
However, keeping that going into the colder months will be a challenge. DeVito tells FLNR that businesses will need to get creative in the coming months.
