Forecasters are warning for the possibility of gusty thunderstorms this evening as a cold front moves through the Finger Lakes and Central New York.
According to FLX Weather storms will develop to the north during the mid-afternoon hours, then drop south during the early evening hours.
They say lightning, downpours, and potentially damaging winds are possible with the storms.
However, the storms are expected to lose their punch as night approaches and temperatures drop with nightfall.
