One person revived, two others taken into custody after apparent drug overdose at Walmart in Seneca Falls

Police say an investigation is ongoing after one person was revived from an apparent drug overdose in the town of Seneca Falls on Thursday.

It happened around 7 p.m. in the Walmart parking lot, according to Lt. Tim Snyder, who spoke with the Finger Lakes Times about the incident.

Initial reports indicated that an employee of the store performed CPR on a person for approximately 10 minutes before police and other emergency responders arrived, but law enforcement did not confirm that information.

Two other people ran from the scene, but they were eventually taken into custody. No further details were provided about those who were taken into custody. Snyder told the FLT that there was ‘not a lot’ of cooperation.

As for the person who overdosed, Snyder said that several doses of Narcan was administered, and eventually was up-and-talking to those at the scene. He was transported by ambulance to Geneva General Hospital.
