Woman, young child struck by vehicle in village of Penn Yan

Police say a 58-year-old Penn Yan resident was ticketed for failing to yield the right of way to a pedestrian after two people were struck on East Elm Street.

It happened Tuesday morning when a 38-year-old and 3-year-old were crossing the street at a cross walk on East Elm.


The victims were treated at the scene for minor injuries, but released without additional treatment.

The driver of the car, identified as Janine Perry, 58, of Penn Yan was ticketed.
