After posting a passing day equal to the third-most prolific day in team history with 417 yards along with four touchdown passes, Josh Allen was a lock for AFC Offensive Player of the Week honors for his Week 2 performance in Buffalo’s 31-28 victory at Miami.
This is the third time Allen has been named AFC Offensive Player of the Week with all three coming at the expense of the Miami Dolphins.
The first time was in Week 17 of the 2018 season when he threw three touchdown passes and ran for two more in a 42-17 win over Miami.
He won it a second time in a win over the Dolphins in Week 11 last year when he posted a then career-best 117.7 passer rating in a 37-20 victory.
