The Ithaca Police Department says its investigating a bicycle crash that occurred during the morning commute on Wednesday.
Around 6:45 a.m. first responders were called to the intersection of Albany and State streets for the report of a male who had been thrown from a bicycle after colliding with a curb.
The male was unconscious, according to police, who say that he was flown to a regional trauma center for further evaluation.
No foul play or vehicle involvement was suspected in the incident.
As of a morning press release no additional information about his condition or identity was available.
