The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of an Auburn woman following a traffic stop over the weekend along State Route 104.
Cynthia Swarthout, 45, was charged with DWI as a felony under Leandra’s Law, DWI-drugs, aggravated unlicensed operation, and a number of other traffic and drug charges.
She was also charged with endangering the welfare of a child after having a 7-year-old in the vehicle with her.
Deputies say Swarthout was ultimately arrested on nine charges connected to the investigation. She refused to provide a blood sample to determine the drug content of her blood.
Deputies say Swarthout was held at the Wayne County Jail pending arraignment.
