Canandaigua National Bank is expanding into Geneva.
While they already operate an ATM location on Hamilton Street – they will take over the former Friendly’s restaurant location.
It will be Canandaigua National Bank’s 25th branch.
“We feel this is the perfect opportunity with the footprint we cover in Ontario County,” Christopher Keys, CNB senior vice president said. “This is really the one spot (in the county) we do not have a full footprint in. We’re excited to be there.”
Multiple factors, including the closure of Five Star National Bank’s downtown branch contributed to opening the new Geneva location.
Some planning steps still need to be fulfilled before construction can begin. The goal will be for the bank location to be open by mid-2021.
