Syracuse football will kick off its home opener against Georgia Tech on Sept. 26 at noon, the Atlantic Coast Conference announced on Monday. The game will be broadcast regionally.
The Orange (0-1) is coming off a 31-6 loss at then-No. 18 North Carolina last Saturday and will travel to No. 25 Pittsburgh this weekend. The Yellow Jackets (1-0) beat Florida State 16-13 in their opener and will host Central Florida in Week 2 this Saturday.
SU-GT will also mark the first game in the renovated Carrier Dome. However, fans are currently not allowed in to watch the contest. Gov. Andrew Cuomo could lift that restriction over the next 12 days.
