Cayuga County has moved closer to filling a recently vacated post in emergency management.
The Citizen reported this week that former Oswego County Emergency Management Director Dale Currier has been given the green light by a legislative committee to take on the role.
It will need to be approved by another committee, then the full-legislature. At that point Currier would take over for Amy Russert, who resigned last month.
Cuurrier would serve as interim director. There’s no timeline at this point for a permanent successor.
