The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Savannah man following a sex abuse investigation.
Deputies say Heath Waldron, 35, was charged with first-degree sex abuse after an investigation was initiated by Wayne County Child Protective Services.
It’s alleged that Waldron had sexual contact with a 14-year-old girl while at his family’s home for over a year. The alleged abuse took place between February 2018 and May 2020.
Waldron was arrested and arraigned. He was released and will answer the charges at a later date.
