Police report the arrest of a 29-year-old Seneca Falls resident following an animal abandonment investigation.
Alejandro Villarreal Jr., 29, was charged with animal abandonment as a misdemeanor after leaving a small dog tied to a poll after attempting to give it away to a stranger.
The dog, named Mimi was turned over to dog control and was unharmed.
Villareal was issued an appearance ticket and will answer the charge at a later date.
