On Wednesday, the state updated guidelines allowing salons and barbershops to give customers ‘under the mask’ services.
It’s a change, and a signal of lessening restrictions associated with operating those businesses in the state amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The state’s updated guidance allows customers to remove their masks for things like facials, waxing, and shaving.
Face shields will still be required by employees and they would need to test negative for COVID before delivering the services.
