Gleyber Torres brings his big bat back to the Yankees lineup on Saturday — just in time for him to face one of his favorite opponents.
Torres, on the injured list with left hamstring and quadriceps strains, was reinstated before the Yanks’ game against the Orioles, against whom he hit .394 with 13 home runs in 18 games last season.
Before going on the IL, Torres hit just .231 with one home run in 24 games in 2020.
In a corresponding move, right-hander Albert Abreu, who pitched in two games for the Yankees, was sent back to the alternate site.
