Seneca Falls driver ticketed after three-car crash in Geneva

Deputies say they responded to a three-car crash with injuries on State Route 14 at Glass Factory Bay in Geneva around 10 a.m.

Investigation determined that Samantha Lackey, 19, of Seneca Falls failed to yield the right of way while turning off Route 14 onto Glass Factory Bay. She then struck a vehicle operated by Phillip Crooks, 76, of Lakemount, New York.

Lackey’s vehicle then continued and struck another car head-on. Both of the vehicles the Seneca Falls driver struck were headed north.

Tracey Weiss, 56, of Utah was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital. Lackey was transported to Geneva General Hospital.

Deputies say she was ticketed for failing to yield the right of way while making a left turn. The charge will be answered in Geneva Town Court.
