A Geneva man is facing 10 years to life in prison in connection to a federal investigation into enticement of a minor.

Carter is accused of exchanging messages, some of which were sexually-explicit in nature, with what he thought was a 14-year-old boy.
Prosecutors say Carter attempted to arrange a meet-up. He was arrested after arriving at the agreed-upon location.
A search warrant was executed and prosecutors say they determined that the phone involved in the initial series of messages belonged to Carter.
