The Finger Lakes Drug Task Force announced the arrest of a 32-year-old Auburn man following the execution of a search warrant on Arch Street.
The search happened on Saturday around 8 p.m., and resulted in the arrest of Paul Bovee, 32, of Arch Street.
Police recovered a loaded .22-caliber handgun, a loaded .22-caliber bolt action rifle, and more than a half-ounce of fentanyl. Scales, packaging material, and currency were also recovered, according to police.
Bovee was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a firearm, and criminal possession of a controlled substance. He was also charged with menacing a police officer.
All of the charges were felonies, according to police.
They reported that he attempted to flee while being taken into custody. As of this weekend, he Bovee was being held at the County Jail.
