The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reports the investigation of a personal injury crash at the intersection of State Routes 96 and 488 in Phelps.
Charity Quagliata, 81, of Phelps failed to stop at a red light and Michael Eaken, 59, struck her.
Due to the force of the collision the 81-year-old was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital for possible internal injuries. She also momentarily lost consciousness during the crash.
Drugs and alcohol are not believed to be factors.
