Deputies say members of the Magee Fire Department extinguished a fire consisting of tires and other waste.

They charged the homeowner, identified as Donald Bennett, 52, with three counts of harassment after it was discovered that he threatened a fireman that responded to the scene.

He was issued an appearance ticket and will answer the charges at a later date.

Deputies were assisted at the scene by New York State Police and New York State Park Police. Deputies say the DEC was contacted and also followed-up on the case.
