Sheriff Kevin Henderson reports the arrest of a 37-year-old Romulus man following an investigation into events that transpired around August 1st involving a contracting job in the town of Victor.
He says that investigators arrested Scott Pepson, 37, of Romulus who had been contracted to repair and upgrade a barn for $23,000.
The victim paid Pepson $23,000 and never completed the job. Sheriff Henderson says that additionally, the work that Pepson did complete on-site required another contractor to completely redo.
Pepson is accused of not refunding the victim, and was further unable to prove where the victim’s funds were spent. It’s alleged that some of the money from that $23,000 job in Victor was spent on other contracting jobs Pepson was doing.
He was charged with grand larceny and arraigned. He was remanded to the Ontario County Jail.
