Prior to Tuesday’s game against the Braves, the Yankees reinstated Aaron Judge from the 10-day injured list.
Judge was out with a Grade 1 strain of his left calf after he was removed from an Aug. 11 game against the Braves at Yankee Stadium after manager Aaron Boone believed he saw Judge favoring the calf while playing the outfield.
The club also placed left-hander Luis Avilán on the 10-day IL, retroactive to Saturday, with left shoulder inflammation and recalled infielder/outfielder Miguel Andújar and right-hander Brooks Kriske from its alternate training site.
