Three businesses paid $50 fines for violating food service guidelines connected to the Coronavirus Pandemic response in New York State, according to health officials in Cayuga County.
McDonald’s and Namisniak’s Restaurant, both located in Auburn, as well as Michelle’s Pizzeria in Fair Haven were fined and acknowledged that they violated state guidelines.
Health officials said employees at the McDonald’s on Grant Avenue were not wearing face coverings during an inspection. The owner at Michelle’s Pizzeria was observed not wearing a face covering while inside the building.
Meanwhile, The Citizen reports that Namisniak’s was cited for having the bar at full capacity along with individuals standing and drinking, which violates the states guidance for such establishments.
In a situational update on Monday, there were three new confirmed cases of the Coronavirus.
A total of 29 people were in mandatory quarantine along with eight in isolation. It brings the total number of cases up to 170 in Cayuga County.
