Former Syracuse football safety Evan Foster will sign with the San Francisco 49ers and join the team in training camp, his agent told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
It will be Foster’s first shot to stick with a team after going undrafted last April. The 49ers also signed veteran safety Johnathan Cyprien on Wednesday, according to ESPN.

Foster underwent sports hernia surgery last December and saw his predraft calendar thrown into disarray just as he felt he was back at full strength. His best chance to showcase his game at Syracuse’s Pro Day was canceled because of the coronavirus.
