Clyde woman charged with burglary after incident at Walmart

The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a 52-year-old Clyde woman following an investigation at the Walmart in Hopewell.

Paula Whitfield, 52, was charged with third-degree burglary and petit larceny after concealing nearly $180 worth of merchandise.

Deputies say it was further determined that Whitfield was issued a trespass notice in March 2018 prohibiting her from being at any Walmart location.

She was transported to the Ontario County Jail pending arraignment.
