On Tuesday, deputies from the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, as well as Oaks Corners Fire Department and the Phelps Ambulance responded to the area of County Road 6 and County Road 23 for the report of a two-car crash.
Leah Watkins, 23, of Conesus was traveling west on Cross Street when she attempted to go across the intersection of County Road 23.
Deputies say that’s when Watkins pulled in front of a second vehicle operated by Deborah Engles-Bower, 64, of Palmyra, who was traveling north on County Road 6.
County Road 6 was shut down by Oaks Corners fire personnel as the scene was cleaned up. Engles-Bower was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Watkins was cited for failing to yield the right of way.
