A local man is facing two charges after taking a vehicle and abandoning it outside the village of Penn Yan.
Police arrested Robert Parish, 34, of Penn Yan following a complaint in the village on August 14th.
It was reported that Parish made a verbal agreement with an individual to borrow a pickup truck and return it by a specific time.
It’s alleged that Parish did not return the truck to the owner, and police discovered the vehicle abandoned on Outlet Road outside of the village several hours later.
During investigation it was determined that Parish operated the truck while his driving privileges were suspended. He was located on Saturday and charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
He was issued an appearance ticket and is slated to appear in Penn Yan Village Court at a later date.
