More than 700,000 low-income families could see a boost in their SNAP benefits this month thanks to an emergency assistance protocol.
Depending on family size the amount can range from nearly $200 to $700.
The extra assistance can mean the difference between benefits running out in a few weeks or stretching through the whole month, according to advocates.
However, some say there needs to be more done to help families struggling during the Coronavirus Pandemic.
