Deputies: Pedestrian sent to Strong after being struck by Waterloo driver

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the investigation of a one-vehicle crash that occurred on Geneva Street in Lyons on Tuesday.

Deputies say Angela Polley, 45, of Waterloo was traveling south on Geneva Street when 18-year-lld Brooke Ferris, of Lyons was crossing the road.

The vehicle operated by Polley struck Ferris, and the force of the collision caused her to become airborne. Deputies say Ferris landed on the pavement and was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital.

Deputies were assisted at the scene by the Town of Lyons Ambulance and Lyons Fire Department.

No additional information about Ferris’ condition was released.
