The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest ofa 39-year-old Corning resident following an investigation into a reported gunshot wound.
Sheriff Allard says deputies executed a search warrant at a camper in the town of Corning. He says that Scott Andrews, 39, who was previously convicted of a felony, possessed rifles and a shotgun.
He suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wounds, according to Sheriff Allard.
Deputies said in a press release that Andrews possessed a silencer, ‘assault type rifle’, and large capacity ammunition feeding devices.
He was charged with five counts of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and held on $2,000 bail.
