A 33-year-old Auburn man who was charged in October with sexually abusing a child over the course of three years has pleaded guilty.
Joseph George Woodman was charged with first-degree course of sexual conduct against a child younger than 13 years old, a class B felony.
On Tuesday, he waived his right to have his case go to a grand jury, and instead was arraigned and pleaded guilty.
The victim will not have to testify, the District Attorney’s Office said after.
The Citizen reports that Woodman’s agreed-upon sentence is seven years in state prison and 10 years of post-release supervision.
“He has been cooperative,” Budelmann told The Citizen. “He admitted from the interview on that he abused the child and accepted responsibility here.”
