The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on person was airlifted from the scene of a skydiving accident in Ovid in late-July.
It happened July 26th when deputies and ambulance personnel were called to the Ovid Airport for a reported skydiving accident.
Deputies say Alisa Tripp, 56, of West Virginia parachuted out of a plane but had a hard landing – breaking both of her legs.
Deputies and members of the South Seneca Ambulance team responded and rendered emergency first aid. Tripp was airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital where she continues to be treated for injuries.
Deputies say Tripp is listed in stable condition at this time.
The Ovid and Lodi fire departments also responded and assisted deputies.
