Police say a Canandaigua man was taken into custody after violating a court order last week.
Coleman Peterson, 46, of Canandaigua was charged with second-degree contempt after an investigation at a Gibson Street residence.
Investigators say Peterson was at the location with another person who required to stay away from the other individual.
However, by Peterson being at that location he was violating a court order.
Coleman was taken into custody without incident.
