Eastman Kodak Co. and the federal government are expected to make a big announcement on Tuesday in the fight against COVID-19.
The announcement relates to drug development, and it appears as though Rochester will play a key role in this effort.
On Monday, President Donald Trump traveled to Fujifilm in North Carolina to award it $265 million to expand COVID vaccine manufacturing.
“We are mass-producing all of the most promising vaccine candidates in advance, so that on the day one that it’s approved, it will be available to the American people immediately,” Trump said.
It’s unclear when the announcement will be made in Rochester.
