New York State is recommending that students who are considered high risk for developing complications from the Novel Coronavirus, or those who live with high risk adults – should consider a continuation of home schooling.
The state outlined recommendations for reopening, and this week districts will be unveiling those plans.
Students who are encouraged to continue remote learning include those living with individuals age 65 or older, pregnant individuals and those with underlying health conditions.
It’s all part of the state’s continued effort to halt the spread of the coronavirus.
