Hemlock woman charged with grand larceny after failing to report income to Geneva Housing Authority

The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Hemlock woman following an investigation that involved the Geneva Housing Authority.

Megan Thompson, 38, was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny after failing to report new employment to the Geneva Housing Authority via Section 8 Program.

Deputies say failure to report the income resulted in receipt of $2,387 in benefits through Section 8, which she was not entitled to receive.

The charge will be answered at a later date in local court.
