On Saturday around 2:50 p.m. deputies responded along with other first responders to the area of Sandhill and Emerson roads in Ontario County for the report of a three-car crash.
Along with the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, Canandaigua Fire Department, Canandaigua Ambulance, Victor-Farmington Ambulance, and East Bloomfield Ambulance all responded as well.
Deputies say Judith Ghosh, 80, of Canandaigua was traveling south on Sandhill Road, and attempted to travel through the intersection – striking a vehicle operated by Edward Reehil, 83, of Shortsville. He was traveling east on Emerson Road.
Both of those vehicles then struck a third vehicle, which was traveling north on Sandhill Road. Deputies say that vehicle was operated by Robert Smith, 56, of Webster.
The road was closed for approximately one hour. All three vehicles were towed.
Ghosh and Reehil were both treated at the scene and transported to Strong Memorial Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Deputies say Ghosh was cited for failing to yield the right of way at a
