Deputies say a 71-year-old Palmyra woman was airlifted from the scene of a crash along Route 31.
Susan Doyle, 71, was attempting to back out of a driveway on Route 31 and mistakenly backed over an embankment.
While exact details of the crash were not released, it did not involve a second vehicle.
Doyle suffered face and head injuries, which resulted in her being airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital.
Deputies were assisted at the scene by Finger Lakes Ambulance and the Palmyra Fire Department.
