Left fielder Matt Smith (Ithaca) finished 2-for-3 at the plate with three RBI, a double, and one run to keep the Snow Cats undefeated. The Snow Cats took an early lead with four runs in the second inning and did not trail. Branden Myers (St. Bonaventure), James Cronin (St. Lawrence), and Patrick Blackall (RIT) picked up a double apiece. Cronin and Blackall contributed one and two RBI respectively. Winning pitcher Jack Leahy (RIT) hurled five of seven innings. He gave up five hits and six runs, struck out two and walked three. Garrett Bell (Ithaca) took the mound for the final inning and earned credit for the save. Bell retired the last three batters, fanning two.
Jon Catapano (Grand Valley State) tripled and drove in two for the Orioles. Sean Flannery (MCC) doubled, scored twice and added an RBI. Jordan Maher (Fredonia State) also had an RBI.

A nine-run offensive effort in the fourth inning highlighted a doubleheader sweep and the Snow Cats stayed undefeated through the first week of the season. Garrett Bell tallied four RBI with a third-inning single and a bases-clearing double in the fourth. Mark Trotta also brought home four runners, two with a double in the third and two more off a second double in the fourth. David Bermudez (Rider), Branden Myers, and Lachlan Charles also collected a double apiece. Ronald Loomis (Oswego) kept the Orioles quiet in the first five innings, fanning eight batters and giving up only two hits to earn the win. Loomis struck out the last five batters he faced. AJ Gartland (Alfred State) came on in the sixth inning. Myers collected two RBI with his fourth-inning double. Zach Morrison connected on single early in the fourth to kick off the scoring frenzy and earn an RBI. Cam Vozel (Gannon) and James Cronin also recorded hits.
