Police: Felony charge after investigation into domestic incident in Geneva

A Geneva man was arrested on a felony charge after a domestic incident in the city.

The Geneva Police Department reports that on July 4th officers arrested Phillip Chastine Jr., 38, of Geneva for violating a protective order.

The order was issued in local court, and when he contacted the protected party – was in violation.

That violation resulted in a first-degree criminal contempt charge, which is a felony.

Police say that Chastine violated the order during a domestic incident, which was investigated by the department.
