One person was sent to the hospital after a two-vehicle crash involving driver’s from Florida and Maryland in Canandaigua.
The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reports that 21-year-old Nathaneal Burkett, of Hagerstown, Maryland was traveling on County Road 30 when his vehicle was struck by Richard Beyea, 65, of Daytona Beach, Florida near the McCann Road intersection.
A 23-year-old passenger in Burkett’s vehicle, from Honeoye was transported to Thompson Hospital with minor injuries.
Deputies say that drugs and alcohol were not factors in the crash. Beyea was issued a citation for failure to stop and will appear in local court at a later date.
