Pedestrian escapes injury after two-car crash near crosswalk in Victor

The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office provided an update on a personal injury crash that they responded to on Wednesday along Phillips Road during the afternoon hours.

Around 2:53 p.m. deputies were called along with the Fishers Fire Department and Victor-Farmington Volunteer Ambulance to the area of 748 Phillips Road in the town of Victor.

Deputies say Renee Casler, 50, of Mendon had stopped her vehicle for a pedestrian attempting to cross at a crosswalk on the roadway – when Allyson Rath, 30, of Bloomfield failed to stop and struck the back of the front vehicle.

Rath suffered minor injuries and was transported to F.F. Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua. She was also ticketed for following too closely, and is due back in court at a later date.

Deputies say the pedestrian crossing the street was not involved in the crash.
