The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Lyons man following a disturbance in the town.
Daniel Hoffman, 53, of Lyons was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, and criminal obstruction of breathing.
It’s alleged that Hoffman entered the backyard of the victim and proceeded to choke the person with his hands and a metal baton until the victim nearly lost consciousness.
Hoffman was transported to the Wayne County Jail and an order of protection was requested by the victim.
Additional court action is expected.
