One arrested, no one hurt after shooting on Exchange St. in Geneva

Police say no injuries were reported after a shooting on Exchange Street int he city.

On Monday around 11:30 the Geneva Police Department received a complaint from an individual who stated that he was stopped in traffic on Exchange Street when another vehicle pulled up next to him and shot at him.

The gun involved was a pistol, according to police, who said an intense investigation ensued.

Richard Hankerson, 39, of Geneva was charged with first-degree attempted assault, a felony.

Police say Hankerson attempted to cause serious physical injury to the victim when he fired the pistol at the vehicle.

No injuries were reported, and Hankerson was arraigned at CAP.
