Police investigate robbery after two enter vehicle while operator was inside

Police in Ithaca are investigating a robbery that occurred during the evening hours on Thursday.

Police say they were called to a reported dispute at the intersection of South Cayuga Street and South Titus Avenue. Upon arrival, police located a victim who advised that he was parked in the area when two unknown males entered his vehicle.

Both displayed knives and menaced him while demanding money.


A struggle ensued and the suspects eventually fled the area on foot.

The victim sustained minor injuries in the incident.

It was reported that several vehicles were traveling through the area and possibly witnessed the incident.

Police say the investigation is active, and anyone with information should call 607.272.3245.
